2.3 Toxicological & Environmental Safety Standards
• Skin/Eye Irritation: The undiluted solution shall meet the criteria of acute skin irritation ≤ mild irritation and acute eye irritation ≤ reversible mild damage (OECD 404/405 standards). In daily chemical products, dilute to 1%–5% and compound with mild surfactants to reduce risks.
• Sensitization: Must pass the human repeat insult patch test (HRIPT) with no clear sensitization signals (conclusion of CIR report).

3. Key Safety Risk Control Points
1. Procurement Compliance: Prioritize products compliant with GB/T 13529-2022 and REACH certification. Request test reports for 1,4-dioxane and ethylene oxide residues.
2. Operational Protection: Wear chemical-resistant gloves and goggles when handling 70% undiluted solution to avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes in case of accidental contact.
3. Formula Control: Dilute to a safe concentration in daily chemical products, compound with mild surfactants (e.g., betaine, cocamide MEA), and control pH value within 5.5–7.0.
4. Environmental Discharge: Industrial wastewater shall undergo biochemical treatment to reduce SLES concentration to ≤10 mg/L before discharge, complying with GB 8978 wastewater standards.

• Qualified Criteria: Active matter content 68%–72%, impurities meeting limit requirements, toxicological/environmental indicators up to standard, and compliance with downstream application concentration specifications.
